SanOrphan SA is positioned as an essential bridge between the fields of scientific research and pharmacology.

Founded on 28 February 2011, the company SanOrphan SA was conceived by the members of the Sanfilippo Foundation Switzerland in order to develop promising therapeutic treatments for rare and orphan diseases.

As things stand today, there is a long, tedious and extremely costly procedure required to allow a patient affected by a rare disease to receive medication developed through clinical trials.

For this reason, the Sanfilippo Foundation partners have recruited Dr. Olivier Menzel and his expertise to join their vision and create SanOrphan SA.

The firm’s first goal is to raise funds for optimising the procedures leading to clinical trials on therapies for rare diseases.
